And a special welcome to Rio de Janeiro - The most beautiful city in the world, at least, how the locals (Carioca) like to call it. 😉 And a very special bem-vindo to Carnival - A must-visit in a life! Carnival is a once-in-a-lifetime experience which just have to be seen and lived. The best part: We will spend Carnival not only in Brazil but in Rio de Janeiro itself!😍 A dream definitely comes true (at least mine haha). Since I lived in Rio for many months already, so I know the city itself very well and I will make sure, that you're enjoying your stay here.😉 I also know many locals who are more than happy to show us their Carnival traditions. Carnival itself lasts from 25th of February to 5th of March. In my opinion, a trip for 2 weeks is totally worth it because the city is amazing without Carnival anyway.🥰 There are many things to do in Rio de Janeiro. For more details about our activities on the trip, just scroll down. 👇🏻 ❗Since Carnival is Brazil's main touristic season, the prices are party up to 100% higher than usual. Therefore, it is very important to book the accommodation and the flights as soon as possible!❗ The costs you pay in the end include the accommodation, travel insurance for Germans or Austrians, professional support of JoinMyTrip, a small fee to me since I put a lot of work into the organization, and the good vibes you will get here! 🙂 Food, fuel for a car, and other expenses we will divide fairly on Splitwise. ✌️ To avoid discussions about different food preferences, you can either buy your own food or we go grocery shopping altogether and split everything. Since we are traveling as a group, we will divide it in group. ;) Alright, buy your Carnival outfits, and let's enjoy one of the world's best parties together! RIO-CARNIVAL

Tag 1-14

The main reason we all are here: The Carnaval / Carnival. The main parade with Brazil's best Samba schools choreographed their appearances for more than a year (thanks to COVID). Blocos with public parties everywhere on the street. Or just all of the people in the city dancing everywhere your eyes can reach. This vibe is unimaginable and unforgettable for sure!

Copacabana

Of course, we will enjoy this amazing this by itself as well. Many many beaches (Copacabana, Ipanema, Leme, Leblon), culture, hikes, lovely people, amazing sunsets, and tasty food. Rio de Janeiro is worth a visit without Carnival as well!

Dois Irmãos

Tag 14-15

We will also hike a lot! E.g., on the mountain Dois Irmãos you can find the favela Vidigal. First of all, I want to take off your bias and worries about favelas and show you this wonderful life there. The people here have strong and bonding relationships, and they actually love tourists, so that's a safe place. Here, we will have some (very cheap) drinks on the streets, and breath in the favela vibe. But not for too long! We will hike the Dois Irmãos approximately at 3 am to see the sunrise. Not gonna lie: That experience was one of my best moments in life and was totally worth it! 😍😍😍

Lapa

Because one big party is not enough: Lapa is a local neighborhood with a lot of Funk street parties, bars, and clubs. If you don't know Brazilian Funk, you will get used to it here in Brazil for sure. ;) The vibe and the people in Lapa are unforgettable, it is a must-have to visit!
